Muddy Water Bobbins Aids Fishing Success

October 27th, 2009

Carp fishing is a very enjoyable activity as these fish are really clever and aren’t so easily persuaded to take the bait. Even so, with some cunning, you can lure the fish and dupe them into being caught. What follows are just a few tips to serve you when carp fishing:-

  • Use fishmeal-based boilies in the finer weather (summer and autumn), and try your luck with 50/50 mixes or even bird food types of bait in the winter and spring seasons
  • Try adding spicy chillies to particle baits. The carp fish seem to savour that hot “kick” from those chillies. Approximately, add a couple of tablespoons to 5 litres of particles.
  • When the water is particularly cold, experiment with casting your rigs a little more often, and target various areas in order to place a hook bait close to the carp. Cold water slows down the movements of carp therefore there’s less chance for the fish to swim towards your bait. In the summertime, you can set traps in possible patrolling areas and wait for the carp to find the bait.
  • Add high sources of vitamin C to the bait. Stir your method with fruit juice as opposed to water from the lake. You can also experiment with soaking fresh boilies in orange juice so as to to create that well-defined flavour.
  • If you are stressed about overfeeding, then experiment with breadcrumb groundbait with just the attractants included, but without all the particle baits included. This lures the carp without feeding them too much.
  • Lastly, make sure you have the right fishing gear with you. Research what you should bring online. You can find all kinds of things online, such as muddy water bobbins – and ensure you enjoy the time you spend by the river!
