The Nokia 6500 slide – not a bad choice

The 6500 slide is not the best mobile handset Nokia have ever built, but it remains worthy of consideration. Like other similarly priced models from Nokia the design is quite cutting edge and would appeal to a broad range of customers. With this handset Nokia have produced something which is well featured for the price.

Getting on to the display the handset is equipped with a 2.2 inch screen, which, taking into consideration the other options available for the price is a pretty average size display. A TFT, 16M colors display is fitted to this mobile phone. The Nokia 6500 slide weighs only 125 g. In terms of colours this phone is available in, Silver and Black. When compared to other models on the market the Nokia 6500 slide is small and easy to carry. The battery usage the 6500 slide is 6:00 talk time and 310 hours reserve charge. A Standard battery, Li-Ion (BP-5M) battery cell is shipped with the Nokia 6500 slide. The ring-tones on the 6500 slide are Polyphonic (64 channels), MP3 plus a vibrating tone . The Nokia 6500 slide has support for 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and 3G UMTS 850 / 2100 . The 6500 slide has an integrated 3.15 MP, 2048×1536 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, video(VGA 3gp@15fps), flash; secondary QCIF videocall camera. For mobile Internet users as WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (Opera mini) browser is included. This phone is bluetooth enabled so it will work with with the majority of mobile phone devices. There are also a number of additional features on the 6500 slide like , Calculator, Java MIDP 2.0, Calendar, TV out, FM radio with RDS, Built-in handsfree, Stainless steel case, MP3/AAC/AAC+ player, Push to talk and Voice memo.

Although this is a relatively recent model, it has already been surpassed. It is therefore relatively easy to find a real bargain on the 6500 slide.
