Boost your credit score by collecting all your bills and financial papers and giving them a spring cleaning, regardless of the time of year. Everyone wants a perfect credit score of 850 or to increase their credit rating to the best possible credit score. This is the main factor lending agencies consider when extending a loan or approving credit cards. Lenders want to know your payment history and credit scores are the way they get this information quickly and easily.

What makes up a person’s credit score? How it becomes part of their credit history? A credit score is based on information gathered by the three U.S. credit bureaus: Equifax, Experion and Trans Union. Your credit score history began with the first purchase you ever made using credit. You didn’t do anything for the credit information to get into your credit history. You simply signed a credit note or credit agreement promising to repay the credit lender the funds of the loan or credit card through payments of a specific minimum amount over a specific period of time. The credit lender extending the credit, whether is was for an automobile, furniture or something else, automatically entered your credit information into the credit bureau systems and your credit payments were recorded and monitored until you paid in full. When you paid a loan in full, that account was marked “closed”. In the case of a credit card, the account would remain open as long as you are authorized to use that credit card account.

If you made no late credit payments, the credit entry became a good reference for your next purchase. All late or insufficient payments were noted and if there were many, a bad mark was placed on your credit history. As you began to use more credit, your credit history grew. The credit bureaus generated a credit score based on your credit repayments. Today, a credit score of 750 is considered a very good credit rating; a credit score over 750 is excellent while a credit scores below 600 is poor.

Boost your credit score by keeping your credit history up-to-date and making every credit card or other credit payment on time. Commit to avoid making any late credit payments. Pay off some of your credit debit completely. Reduce your overall credit debt to income ratio.

You should obtain a copy of your credit score report. Credit reports are now available, at no cost to you except postage and handling, once per year by requesting them from the credit bureaus. Check each credit entry, making certain that all credit entries actually belong on your credit record, that credit accounts you have paid off are marked ‘closed’ and clear up any errors or credit entries that haven’t been recorded properly. You might even find credit history that has not been recorded at all. The credit bureaus will send a form to request any corrections; simply fill out this form and return it by mail. After a few months, obtain another credit report and verify correction to your credit records. Check to see if you have successfully increased your credit score. By increasing your credit score even a few points at a time, you will be able to gain more buying power through prudent use of credit.

Spice It Up

Get your child active in helping prepare lunch or dinner. Let them set the table and prepare the food for cooking. Tell your children that sugars can be found naturally in fruit. A great snack idea is to chop up the child’s favorite fruit into a bowl of milk. Sprinkle a tiny bit of sugar over and eat with a spoon. Replace potato chips with trail mix, peanuts, popcorn or pretzels. Chop up veggies and serve with dip. There are many optional ideas that the kid’s will love.

There are some nights in people’s hectic life’s when there is absolutely no time to cook dinner. This is when fast food comes in. Although fast food is fast, the food doesn’t usually come with it. Try a healthier food stop such as Subway, Extreme Pita or Tim Horton’s. If you end up in McDonald’s, order small proportions. Keeping these trips to a minimum can help you enjoy at least one small fries. Savor and enjoy every last bite.

Turn Your Email Sign-Off Into Results: Seven-Step Checklist for Success

Okie dokie. The basics. What exactly is an email sign-off?

Your sign-off is the part of your email — with your name, company, phone, etc. — that comes right after your text message.

To be honest, I find most email sign-offs pretty boring. (And I find some of them pretty annoying!)

Most often, however, I see lost opportunities.

In this article, we’ll be taking a look at how just a few simple changes to your email signature can make a BIG difference to your business.

Let’s explore….

1 – No sign-off, no results

I think it’s incredible — since most of the emails I get are from coaches and small business owners — but I get at least a couple of emails a day with absolutely no sign-off at all.

That’s right. No company name, and no contact information. Emails sometimes even arrive without the sender’s last name!

This is not only a waste of a perfect marketing opportunity, it’s pretty bad business. There’s nothing professional about a business email without basic business information.

2 – Start with the basics

Every email you send out should include basic information about you and your company:

* Your name (first and last)

* Company Name

* Business phone

* Email address

Tip: Why include your email address here, when the reader can see it at the top of the email? Simply because it’s easier for the reader to have all of your contact information in one place — especially if he decides to add it to his address book or contact manager.

A basic email signature might also include:

* Your title or business designation

* Company logo and/or tag line

* Your photo

* Fax and/or cell phone number

* Website address

Tip: If you include any graphics (photo, logo, etc.) be sure to use small files that will download quickly and easily for the reader. (For me, any file I need to wait for falls into that ‘annoying’ category.)

3 – What’s in it for you?
Here’s the deal. Your email signature is the perfect place to include information about your business, your products, or your services. Why?

* You’re writing — or responding — to someone you know is already interested in you, or your business

* You know your message will be seen

* Email is a natural place to describe something new, or interesting

* It’s totally non-intrusive

* It’s easy

* It doesn’t cost you a thing!

So, take a minute to think about something about your business — or your products — that you’d like to tell people about. For example:

* Your upcoming workshop, seminar, or teleclasses

* Your book or audio product

* An improvement you’ve made to an existing product or program

* New business location, or expanded business hours

* Your new website

Choose one of these ideas now, and take it through the next few steps in this article….

4 – What’s in it for them?

To illustrate, let’s say you decide to use your email signature to tell people about an upcoming teleclass.

I can imagine several answers to the question, “What’s in it for you?”

* new business leads

* ‘live’ interaction with solid business prospects

* revenue (if you’re charging a fee for the class)

* opportunity to introduce participants to your other products and services

* getting your name out into the business community

* opportunity to shine as an expert in your field

* word-of-mouth advertising from your teleclass participants

If you’d like your email signature to attract new clients — and sales — be sure to focus on “What’s in it for THEM?”

Going back to the teleclass example, what will participants get out of it? (information, fun, interaction, difficult to find facts or tips, a plan/strategy, etc.)

What problem do they have that this teleclass will help resolve? Where are they struggling? (stress, frustration, ill health, isolation, financial troubles, need more clients, lack of confidence, etc.)

Jot down at least two benefits your reader will get from your product. And then write a sentence or two that simply tells them this — and shows them how to order or sign up (live links, please!).

Add your contact information, and you’ve got a powerful email signature!

Tip: To improve your results, add an offer — or a reason for the reader to take action NOW.

5 – Short and sweet

Remember I said that email signatures are totally non-intrusive? I was describing clear, concise, well-written email signatures; yours, I hope!

Take a quick peek into your email “Sent” box. If you’re anything like me, most emails you send out are 10-20 lines long. Many are probably only 2-3 lines.

Don’t write an email signature that’s longer than most of your emails!

I’m a member of several email list-serves (coaching, writing, publishing) and not suprisingly, every one of them has rules about email signatures. The maximum ’suggested’ length is between 7-8 lines.

Use this length recommendation as a guide when developing yours. Think 3-4 lines to get your marketing message across, and 3-4 lines for your basic contact information. That’s all you need.

6 – The tech of it all

Okay, one question that often pops up is whether to use a “text only” or “html” email sign-off (often called ’signature’ in your mail program).

In my mind, that totally depends on your audience.

If you work with a fairly tech-savvy group of people, and would like to add the graphics and formatting that are possible with html, go for it. For some audiences, however, html is a mistake — since it’ll show up as an unreadable mass of code if they don’t have the software to decode it properly.

Not sure? Stick to simple text email messages and sign-offs.

In the past couple of years, email signatures have become incredibly simple to do (technically, that is!). Here’s where to find basic instructions from two of the most popular email programs:

Outlook: Tools > Options > Mail Format > Signatures
AOL: Mail > Set Mail Signatures > Create

For other mail programs, check the Help menu, or write to customer support. These days, virtually every ISP will has a way for you to add an email signature — with or without a marketing message — quickly and easily.

Tip: Take a minute or two right now to write a new email signature, and get it into your email account.

7 – Keep ‘em fresh

Ever have this experience: You drive past the same billboard day after day, and after while, you literally don’t see it at all?

The same holds true for email sign-offs. After several emails with the same sign-off, your readers won’t ’see’ it any more. So write several sign-offs — for the same product, or for different products or programs — to keep them fresh and new.

Each time you write one, ask yourself:

* Does it meet your marketing objective? (What’s in it for you?)

* Does it offer a real benefit to your reader? (What’s in it for them?)

* Is it clear and concise? (7-8 lines, including your contact information)

Use these three questions as guidelines, and you’ll be well on your way to creating email sign-offs that’ll attract customers — and increase sales.

Leadership is based on two words, “pressure and support”and that the leadership is the power to influence people to move in a direction that you believe in your heart is a good direction for most people” (Fennell, 1999, p. 267). Adams and Yoder noted that “evidence from contemporary studies on sex-roles and leadership indicates that men and women, with similar education, career aspirations and training, have basically identical scores on measures of psychological masculinity and femininity.” In other words, the traits we assume are important in good leadership can be found among people of both genders.

What makes a leader is a complex question. It includes factors from the environment in which an individual was raised, his or her family situation, and his or her personality traits. . The following discussion is a summary of my own observations plus some of the conclusions of others

According to an overview of research conducted by me ,women are a fast-growing segment of the business community worldwide. The leadership characteristics required to make a success in this new reality are very much “feminine characteristics”. These characteristics include:

1) Self-confidence, an independent mind-set and a willingness to take risks
2) Ability to balance work and family (most are married)
3) Self-confidence, an independent mind-set and a willingness to take risks
4) About 40 to 60 years old

5) Well educated with high skills in management and entrepreneurship
6) Integration of personal and profession
7) Intuition
8) Social skills
9) Direction
10) -Hires competent, trustworthy people (not putting priority on loyalty)
11) -See communication and conflict resolution as key to organizational success
12) Men and women tend to lead in different ways.Namely, women leadership strategy is based on family pattern. It means that
women tend to view solving problems differently than men. Women tend to be more holistic in their thinking.
13) Leaders must be conscious of what is perceived by others and develop strategies that are proactive in building success. Marcano (1997) described this as “know thyself” and further stated that it is important to be honest and objective when evaluating your strengths and abilities, as well as your goals
14) Continual professional growth

15) Leaders need to have a clear sense of their own vision and beliefs

Researching – Case study of Serbia
I presented the latest results of researching related to women leaders and their position in the business world,i.e. how does people look at ( divided into sex,ages and level of education) women leaders and if they trust them. My scientific task was to make some conclusions and to point out some special characteristics of Serbia and Balkan region. We can see different opinions related to our questions :
Do you trust to women-leaders? Could they be equaly successful in business world like men?

• Methodology

• Interviews conducted from 1.476 people ,726 women and 750 men

• Interviewed people were between 18 and 60 years old

• In the whole structure of respondents 30% were owners

• 73 % were married ,19 % single and 8% divorced.

• A few key findings are listed below:

• The barriers to women’s advancement in business are remarkably similar across Balkan region and the biggest cities in the Serbia- Belgrade ,Novi Sad and Nis.

• The women respondents trust to women leaders ( 63 %) and most of them prefer to work in some firm where is a woman leader or executive manager.Also they think that the women want to reach the top, and are equaly ambitious like men.

• Most respondents (60%) say that Corporate Culture is the most significant barrier to women achieving top executive positions, while only twenty-nine percent (29%) think work/family balance is a significant barrier to advancement and 36% believe that a lack of self-promotion holds women back from achieving top-level positions

• The majority of men in research had negative attitude against women executives. In other words they expressed stereotypes and preconceptions about women’s roles and abilities in business. Men stress that women have lack of general management experience ,lack of skills and knowledge and lack of role models.

Respondents among men almost gave the similar replies related to our questions as a following :

1.We are here Balkan and we are argue for traditional model of society

2. Women have been fighting for equal rights for nearly all of time and now that they have it they expect special treatment because they are females
.
3.I do not trust women in business and I do not accept them seriously
4.I am afraid of those women
5. I hate feminist community and culture
6. Women must stay at home and be leaders in their families but not in business word. Leader position in business is reserved for men
7. Women leaders are actually men dressed like women
It is very interesting that a great amount of men do not make difference between women leaders and women feminists ,who are not very popular in this region. And about 20 % of women respondents in the research share mentioned opinion with the men.
About 10 % of men respondents are afraid of women domination in the business world,because it could change natural balance between women and men and to decrease traditional role of the men in society and family.Therefore, they would not like domination of the business women in the 21 st century.
It is also very indicative that among young women (18-35) exist the great interest for leadership and entrepreneurship and they more than earlier explore opportunities to reach their professional goals. Namely, they expressed their opinion with the following words:

1. Female owners and leaders have more of a struggle because they are females and no one will take them seriously so they have to push and make themselves known to the world and allow the world to see their capabilities while male owners don’t have to worry about the struggle of fitting in and trying to live and work up to societies standards because since they are men they are already have the macho man persona and the alterego that men have.

2. Women have to fight harder and be stronger if they want to live and work in a man’s world you have to adopt to the surronding don’t expect a man to be a gentlmen and hold the door open for you, don’t expect him to do anything out of the ordinary that a man would do for a female because in a sense you should be getting treated like his fellow counterparts and not expect differently. In order to fit in with the men you have to in a sense think, work and act like them meaning don’t think that they will treat you like the female you are. You have to be strong not every man that you encounter will treat you like this but in order to show off your strengths you should expect this.

3. It’s extremely obvious that women have come a long way as successful professionals. Life in the workplace has become much more diversified as an increased number of women have made their presence felt in many industries and professions. The female task force has expanded with exponential strength, and thus has its dire importance in the professional world. Whether they like it or not, men have to accept, once and for all, that women are marching up the corporate ladder confidently and with full speed ahead.

4. Women used to be much more “quiet and passive” in the workplace due to the relatively small number of female employees in comparison to males. Women today, on the other hand, have begun assuming their positions by using all their God given powers of intelligence and organization. Warren Farrell, author of Why Men Are the Way They Are, explains that men are jealous of the “beauty power” that allows women to get certain things based on their physical assets. Perhaps it’s less that women use their beauty, and more likely that men judge them based on their physical beauty

5. The reasons that people start and lead business among women is to bring in and focus on a clientele of mainly women. Most times women start business that deal with products that women use, such as clothes, makeup and home products. The most successful companies run by women are ones that use women’s special skills. These special skills are style, fiscal sense and public relations. Their strengths as business owners are their public relations and the clientele they bring in. There weakness as business owners is the overcoming of sexism that exists. There biggest fear is finding clientele that will due business with a women.. I think these men feel this way because they are insecure.

6. I simply think that women just became even more smarter. Speaking from a personal point of view, I know that being happy and successful are very important to me. They go hand in hand. Most of the women I know feel the same way. I believe that as the years progress women will be involved in an even bigger part of the economy, because young girls are going to follow their female role models.

7. Personally I feel that some high qualified positions are better suited to a women because men have humungous ego problems

I personally think that women can do whatever men do sometimes better. there have always been a glass ceiling for women in the work force however, many women are getting closer to this ceiling and some of them has at least attempted to break through this ceiling. the reason many people think that women are not capable of being in the work force is because of the conotation that has been here for like for ever, “women should stay home and take care of the home”.

9. We need to stop complaing about how much work we have or how hard it is and just complete. The more we compain about the work, the more the man is going to say that things should go to how they used to be in the old days, which was The man works and when he comes home he gets treated as if he is something golden and special while tlelign us we are worthless. The woman can not go to work becuase she needs to stay home with the children and cook and clean the house. I am glad i live in this century becuase honestly i do not know how i woud’ve been able to live up to those expectations

At last we can conclude that the woman are now much more motivated and ready to reach their professional dreams and be leaders ,not only in Serbia and Balkan region , but all over the world then they once were. Until recently, entrepreneurship was considered by many to be the last bastion of male dominance in the business world. This is no longer true. More businesses are now being started by women than are being started by men. However,there are still a lot of men who don’t think women should be in these positions and hold no respect for them at all. As time goes on, women are going to be a bigger and bigger part of the business world, and these men are just going to have to accept it and face a reality check, because no matter what they feel and how much they are against it, the world is changing and it’s going to happen regardless of how they feel.

Pilates was a sickly child with asthma. To help fight his illness and build his strength, he experimented with various mind-body disciplines and later became an accomplished skier, diver, gymnast, and boxer.
